The real crisis is not physical but emotional—it is his fear and lack of self-confidence. Though capable, he is scared to fly and doubts that his wings will support him.

What is your impression of the reaction of the parents in the story?

The parents show tough love. While they care for the seagull, they do not help him directly. Instead, they encourage him by creating a situation (hunger) that forces him to take flight and realize his own potential. Their reaction is wise and supportive in the long run.

No, while support is important, I must also work hard, stay focused, and take initiative. Success comes from my own actions as well.
